Welcome back to the new half term. I hope you had a good break and it is great to see the children back full of energy and ready to learn.
This week we are starting our R.E. or religious education programme. Each year group use this block of time to study a different religion so that, by the time the children reach Year 6, they have an understanding of all the main religions, in our school, around Loughborough and the world. Most year groups will be visiting a place of worship; be it a church, a synagogue, mandir or mosque. This is a great way for the children to understand the importance of a place of worship. They always find these visits fascinating and they learn a lot. The visit then forms the basis of a unit of work lasting a week or so.
