Mr Maksymiw’s news w/c 6 November

Dear Parents
I am writing to inform you that Mr Maksymiw has decided to step down as Headteacher of Outwoods Edge Primary School. He will remain in place until the end of this academic year.
This news, I realise, may come as a shock to some parents and children alike and it is with great sadness that we will see him leave. Mr Maksymiw has been at the school for more years than he can care to remember (17 years in fact) and in this time has guided the school through some significant growth and changes, not least becoming an academy in 2012.
As governors we are incredibly grateful for the leadership and direction Mr Maksymiw has given to the school, and understand his reasons for wanting to move on.
The recruitment of a new Headteacher is a lengthy process, but the governors have a structured plan to follow and are committed to ensuring the best outcome for the whole school community. We will be looking to appoint a new Headteacher in the Spring Term, with a view to the successful applicant taking up the position at the start of the next academic year.
This will be a big change for the school, but one that hopefully we can all embrace and continue the success of Outwoods Edge Primary School. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch via the email
Emma Moore (Chair of Governors)
