Following some recent movement, we have places available in some year groups. Please contact the school office for information.
Computing
Computing is taught from Year 1 to Year 6 through a progressive and engaging Teach Computing curriculum that builds essential skills in computer science, information technology, and digital literacy. In EYFS, we lay the foundations for computational thinking using the Barefoot Computing approach, through play-based learning and problem-solving.
A strong emphasis is placed on e-safety, which is prioritised across all year groups. We teach online safety explicitly through the Evolve programme, ensuring children understand how to use technology responsibly, respectfully, and safely. In Year 6, pupils visit the Warning Zone to reinforce key safety messages in real-life scenarios.
We also work closely with families to promote safe and informed digital habits at home, supported by our Think Smart weekly newsletters which provide parents with up-to-date guidance and tips.
Our computing curriculum equips children with the skills, understanding, and critical awareness they need to thrive in a rapidly changing digital world.
