Following some recent movement, we have places available in some year groups. Please contact the school office for information.
PE
Physical Education (PE) at our school plays a vital role in developing healthy, active lifestyles and fostering a lifelong love of movement. Through a broad, engaging, and inclusive curriculum, children build physical skills, confidence, teamwork, and resilience. PE lessons are designed to be fun, challenging, and accessible for all, helping every child to discover their strengths and strive for personal excellence—both on and off the field.
Our PE lessons are delivered by coaches from FCS sports twice weekly and follow the curriculum map and delivery methods from Get Set 4 PE.
We go above and beyond when teaching swimming and water safety. Swimming lessons are taught yearly to all children at Outwoods Edge using our outdoor pool which is delivered to our site in the Spring Term. Each child from EYFS to Year 6 is offered 6 sessions to enable them to swim 25m confidently, use a range of strokes effectively and perform a self-rescue by the time they leave Primary School in Year 6.
