Dear Parents and Carers,

It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Outwoods Edge Primary School. My name is Matthew Peet, and I am truly honored to join this wonderful school and community as we begin the next chapter of its journey together.

Outwoods Edge has been expertly guided by the leadership of Mr. Wilson, whose dedication and commitment have left a lasting impact on the school. I am delighted to continue working alongside him in his role as Deputy Headteacher, as well as Mrs. Williams, our Assistant Headteacher. Together, with our talented and passionate staff team, we will work to ensure that Outwoods Edge remains a school where every child feels happy, inspired, and supported in their learning and personal development.

Situated on the edge of the beautiful Outwoods, our school provides a unique learning environment that celebrates diversity and values the unique contributions of every pupil and family. Our community is strengthened by the rich tapestry of cultures, experiences, and perspectives that make Outwoods Edge such a special place. It is a privilege to join a school that places inclusivity, respect, and kindness at the heart of everything it does.

My aim is to ensure that every child leaves Outwoods Edge equipped not only with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed academically but also with the confidence, compassion, and resilience to make a positive difference in the wider world.

Your insight and involvement are invaluable to your child’s journey, and I am committed to fostering a relationship of trust, respect, and collaboration between families and the school. Whether through conversations, meetings, or feedback, I encourage you to share your thoughts, questions, or ideas as we work together to build on the school’s successes.

I am incredibly grateful for the warm welcome I have already received and for the opportunity to work with such a dedicated team of staff and governors. I look forward to working closely with you, Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Williams, and the entire Outwoods Edge team to ensure our school continues to flourish. Together, we will strive to provide the best possible opportunities for every child to achieve their potential, celebrate their successes, and develop into well-rounded individuals who are proud of who they are and what they can accomplish.
